Post Graduation and Introduction - For Me
I graduate college this Sunday, August 18, 2019. After six years of schooling, I am so unbelievably relieved to be done with school. As an unreasonably focused student at a school that required your utmost devotion just to pass, I can finally use this time to focus on myself... what makes me happy. This is where I will go to share my future thoughts and experiences in the next chapter of my life.
I have had it pretty easy: a good family, more support from my parents than a lot of people get, plenty of part-time jobs, but I have had to work harder than the average person for my success(If you want to call it that?) This is the first time I have been without a job in eight years, since I was 16, and it's safe to say I'm starting to worry I will not find a professional full-time job soon enough.
I studied construction for the last four years, a career field that supposedly has a ton of opportunities. I am a great worker, I have a 3.6 GPA, I am kind and friendly and love people more than anyone else I know, but I am not a likable person. Every interview I've had I've gone in all smiles, 100% myself, and everyone claims to like me but no one wants to hire me, and I do not understand. Do they think my happy personality is an act? Because it's not. Do they think my passion is an act? Because it's not. If anyone wants to hire a fabulous, hard-working girl, as an assistant project manager, for a company who gives back to the community? Give me a call:) (Only kind of joking help)
I want to blog about things that make me happy: books, national parks, anything outdoors, DIY projects, construction, my family, and my rescue dog Socks. This is a blog for me, but feel free to connect! I love getting to know people.
